| Fast cleanser introduced to Corrosion Guard range | ||
| Salamander has introduced Fast Cleanse to its Corrosion Guard range of chemical treatments for central heating systems. It has been introduced in response to the requests of installers and customers for a safe, non-acidic system cleaner that would allow cleansing and inhibiting to be carried out in one visit. As well as conventional treatment, Fast Cleanse is suitable for use with Powerflushing, which help to restore older central heating systems to optimum performance. Fast Cleanse is pH neutral when discharged to drain, so there is no need for time-consuming neutralisation after treatment. During treatment, Fast Cleanse will remove old scale deposits, sludge, greases, installation debris and other foulants. As a result, the cleansed system will function at optimum efficiency without problems of kettling and cold spots. Fully compatible with mixed metal systems, Fast Cleanse suspends debris in the system water during treatment for optimum flushing performance and provides rudimentary corrosion protection during the cleansing cycle. Treatment of most systems requires only one hour at full operating temperature, though for heavy fouling Fast Cleanse can be left in the system for up to two weeks under normal operating conditions. After draining and flushing through with clean water Corrosion Guard System Inhibitor should be added for ongoing protection. In line with Salamander's support of the Benchmark code of practice, all Corrosion Guard products have been thoroughly tested and carry the relevant approvals. Fast Cleanse is available in 300ml cartridge (concentrate) or standard 1 litre bottles. Either format will treat systems of up to 170 litres.
