This silicon based emulsion works by forming a soft seal when it comes into contact with air entering the system through a small leak such as a pinprick or loose connection. While circulating around the system the chemicals remain active, so if any future leaks occur they are quickly sealed.
Leak Sealer concentrates are supplied with Salamander's patented Universal Adapter, which allows the chemicals to be introduced to the system via the radiator, the filling loop of a combi boiler or via the drain cock. All of which avoid the need to access the expansion tank in the loft, a feature that has proved very popular with Health and Safety officers in several large corporations.
