Legionella seminars target a greener approach
SWater quality specialist Salamander Engineering has introduced a series of Legionella seminars, looking at the causes of Legionella infestation and the various solutions available. The seminars will focus on the need to combine effective disinfection with minimising environmental impact - with emphasis on the benefits of a chemical-free approach.

Many conventional anti-Legionella measures are potentially harmful to the environment through use of toxic chemicals or by wasting energy to heat water and then cool it to safe temperatures for use. Delegates will be able to discover more about alternatives that help organisations improve their environmental performance without compromising on duty of care.

"Through our own research on Legionella control we have gained a deep understanding of the problems and the various solutions that are currently in use," explained Salamander sales director Sue Clews. "We believe that greater awareness and broader knowledge empowers people to assess their own risks and requirements and to make an informed decision on that basis," he added.

The first seminars are already fully booked but they will be run regularly throughout the year. Further information can be obtained from Salamander on 0121 378 0952.
