Salamander Engineering, the Sutton Coldfield based water treatment water treatment, has been recognised as an Investor in People after achieving the Standard set by Investors in People UK. Managing director Ian Armfield received his certificate at a ceremony held by the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, which was also attended by local sports stars.
"We have a commitment to excellence at every level of the business and our staff are fundamental to that commitment," he commented. "We are in a people business where the products we sell are only part of the package. Good relations with customers are vital and that results from employing the right people and giving them the opportunity and the incentive to develop their own potential," he added.
"We have used the Investors in People planning process to address our needs and have implemented a training and development programme," he continued. "We will consistently evaluate this to ensure our workforce has the most up to date skills - skills that keep us at the forefront of our market."
