Water treatment specialist Salamander Engineering, has unveiled details of its latest programme of training courses for gas installers and heating engineers, that will address the issues of limescale and corrosion and the importance of their control.
The half-day courses, available between April and June with further dates planned for later in 2006, will provide professionals involved in choosing, fitting and servicing domestic central heating systems, with the necessary knowledge to correctly treat water. Salamander's Training Manager Kate Johnstone explains:
"It's vital that heating engineers, plumbers and specifiers gain a thorough and up-to-date understanding and appreciation of the problems of corrosion and limescale build up in wet central heating systems, but equally the options and products available to them with which to control it.
"This programme of courses is another tactic by which we are meeting our overall aim of providing the industry with timely and relevant information on the issues they encounter every day, and it serves to complement our growing portfolio of training courses and initiatives," adds Kate.
